With a win over rivals Manchester City and a tie by Chelsea against Arsenal last weekend, the Red Devils have finally regained the Premiership title for the first time since the 2002-03 season.
A nice thing that the EPL does that I wish would transfer over here to the states is recognize the champions by providing a "Guard of Honor" for the team. As Chelsea faced Manchester United yesterday with the Premiership already decided, Chelsea, as the hosts of the game, had to provide the Guard of Honor for the visiting champions. A bit ironic for both sides as Manchester had to do the same for Chelsea just one year ago. Here's how the proceedings went down:
It was a truly magnificent run to the title, and fortunately, it's not over yet for Manchester or Chelsea. Both are scheduled to face off in the English FA Cup Final at the newly renovated Wembley Stadium at the end of the month.
